Former Liverpool player Divock Origi has announced his retirement from professional football.

31-year-old Origi, who won the Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles with The Reds, has also played for LOSC Lille, VfL Wolfsburg and AC Milan during his career.

After coming through the Lille academy, the Belgian forward signed his first contract with Liverpool in 2014. During his time at Anfield, Origi was loaned out to several clubs before leaving in 2022 to join Milan. He also spent a season on loan at Nottingham Forest.

"My purpose in the game has been fulfilled. I have lived my childhood dreams, I have played on the biggest stages, I have won the biggest trophies. Grateful to God for all of this."

To all my fans, clubs, teammates and family: this will be ours forever. Thank you. "Mission accomplished. Now I'm embarking on my next calling. More of the journey to come," he wrote.
