Kimi Antonelli continues his extraordinary season in Formula 1. The Italian Mercedes driver won the Monaco Grand Prix, recording his fifth consecutive success and strengthening his lead at the top of the world championship standings.
Starting from pole position, Antonelli dominated the race on the streets of Monte Carlo, despite the late interruptions due to the Safety Car and red flags. After the restart, the Italian perfectly managed his advantage over Lewis Hamilton, securing his second victory.
Hamilton finished second, while Isack Hadjar completed the podium. The race ended prematurely for Charles Leclerc, who crashed into the barriers with 12 laps to go, while Max Verstappen retired on the first lap with technical problems. Defending champion Lando Norris also did not finish the race, forced to retire with a mechanical failure.
With this success, Antonelli becomes the third Italian to win in Monaco after Riccardo Patrese and Jarno Trulli. In the overall standings, he leads with 156 points, 66 more than the closest follower, Lewis Hamilton.
