France was eliminated in the World Cup semi-finals after a 0-2 defeat to Spain. French President Emmanuel Macron posted on social media immediately after the match.
"Bravo to Spain for this qualification. Thank you to the Blues who wore our colors with commitment. Tough loss tonight, but this team is young and promising," the French president wrote.
