On the 47th day of the popular revolt in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, activist and IT expert Gent Progni also took the floor.

During his speech on the boulevard, Progni listed the strong reasons why he chose to join this protest, touching on everything from the problems of everyday urban life to the brutal pressure that the government exerts on ordinary families and the administration.

The IT expert said that the protest stems from the family pain and the difficulties that every Albanian citizen faces due to the system being captured by nepotism and party interests. He denounced the fact that his family members are threatened with dismissal simply because he chooses not to remain silent.

"Today I want to speak and ask some questions about why I am protesting, questions that even patronage activists ask. I am protesting for my child who was shot in the head in a private school and was not sent for treatment. I am protesting for my daughter-in-law, who in order to get her a job I have to please the government and not protest. I am protesting for my parents not to be fired just because I go out to protest, for my school that is worthless if I don't please the neighborhood party leader, and for my father-in-law who is being fired," Progni said in front of the protesters.

Further, Gent Progni also focused on the urban chaos that prevails in the capital, ironizing the failure of institutions such as AKEP, and made an open and ironic call for better economic conditions for the administration itself and its patronage workers.

"I protest even for small things, for the cables that are like spider webs even though we are in 2026 and AKEP has been ordered to remove them. I protest for those who park on the sidewalk and block the roads. I protest for the administration to have better salaries, as well as for the patrons to stop eating soufflés, but switch to meat," Progni concluded his speech.
