"The biggest enemy that has destroyed Albania, its security and its future is putting the economy and the state in the hands of organized crime," said analyst Fatos Lubonja during an interview on the "Kjo Javë" show on News24.
Lubonja also raised concerns in his analysis that gangs in the country control everything, while accusing the government of corruption. Lubonja did not spare criticism of the opposition, saying that it has remained in its 'disunity', without managing to bring a vision to the citizens.
Lubonja further underlined that SHISH has collaborated with organized crime in Albania.
"The biggest enemy that has destroyed Albania, its future security is putting the economy and the state in the hands of organized crime. And the first thing we should have that SHISH, not to protect us from terrorists, but to provide information about what crime is doing in Albania. While the police chief meets with Ergys Agas and has it, does this SHISH that we pay know anything? So the task is that after receiving information, it takes it to some key figures, the President and the Prime Minister who have the duty to act. So the Service itself has not functioned, the police do not function. But why? Because they are connected. So why have we gone so badly? I say that one of the reasons is that the balances have gone. But if there were a strong opposition, we could talk differently," Lubonja said, among other things.
