The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Gjirokastër, issued four detention orders for citizens RK, LK, PK, and BK, for the criminal offense of 'Hiding Income' provided for by Article 180 of the Criminal Code.
After an investigation using special and proactive methods, within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 235 of 2025, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction has addressed a request for the inspection of the premises of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastra, which has been approved, for the inspection of two foreign exchange points with addresses in the city of Gjirokastra and the city of Tirana.
From the control exercised in the foreign exchange unit in the city of Tirana owned by citizen RK, the following were found and seized as material evidence:
- 470.000 (thirteen million forty-seven thousand) Lekë,
- 895 (forty thousand eight hundred and ninety-five) Euros,
- 780 (eight thousand seven hundred eighty) Pounds,
- 922 (nine thousand nine hundred and twenty-two) American Dollars,
- 380 (ten thousand three hundred and eighty) Francs,
- 145 (three thousand one hundred and forty-five) Canadian Dollar,
- 720 (eighty-five thousand seven hundred and twenty) Lira,
- 1 DVR device
- 2 notepads
From the search also carried out in the apartment of citizen RK, the following were found and seized as material evidence:
- 000 (twenty thousand) American Dollars.
From the control exercised in the foreign exchange unit in the city of Gjirokastra owned by citizen LK, the following were found and seized as material evidence:
- 443.200 (thirteen million four hundred forty-three thousand two hundred) Lekë;
- 865 (ninety-one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five) Euros;
- 965 (seven thousand nine hundred and sixty-five) Pounds;
- 674 (twelve thousand six hundred seventy-four) US Dollars; and
- 5 electronic devices "Computer"
From the search also carried out in the apartment of citizen LK, the following were found and seized as material evidence:
- 90 (ninety) US Dollars;
- 580 (three thousand five hundred and eighty) Euros; and
- 500 (one hundred and eighteen thousand five hundred) Lekë
Meanwhile, other procedural actions are continuing within the framework of this criminal proceeding.
