Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that there is a possibility of reaching an agreement that could lead to a resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. During his speech at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum, Putin said that Russia is grateful to all those who are trying to contribute to the resolution of the conflict.
"Is there any possibility? In my opinion, yes, there is," the Russian president said, emphasizing that Russia and Ukraine must first of all reach an agreement between themselves.
Putin also mentioned the role of the United States and China, saying that both countries are paying attention to the issue and trying to contribute to a peaceful solution. According to him, Chinese President Xi Jinping also constantly raises the issue during meetings with him.
"Ultimately, however, the problem must be resolved by the countries involved in the conflict, Russia and Ukraine," Putin said. At the same time, the Russian president repeated accusations against Ukraine regarding warnings about the dangers that aircraft may encounter in Russian airspace, describing them as "state terrorism."
