Freedom Party MP, Edmond Haxhinasto in an interview for the show 'This Week' on News24, stated that he met Ilir Meta in the detention facilities.

He said that Meta's court appearance on Monday will show that all charges will be dropped one by one.

"This started as a scandalous matter with his arrest in an unimaginable manner, outside of any ethics and law. It is public knowledge, it is serious in all aspects. The European convention on such treatment was seriously violated. The legal violations have been endless. From Monday, the dismantling of the charges will begin one by one. This will be done by telling the truth. And the truth will come out. The alleged charges in the file for legal violations will be dropped one by one. We are beyond the deadlines. The investigation began long before the arrest. The process will show that the charges are unfounded in facts. There have been a few cases that I have communicated with him. I have met him. But it has been limited in terms of opportunities. He is in an energetic and courageous state, he is very positively charged. Convinced of his right. He is a person who has given a lot to his country. If Meta were out, it would be a strong catalyst for the opposition to denounce "The government, that's why it's where it is," he said.
