A 32-year-old man has been arrested by the Police as part of the operation codenamed "Insistimi", following a serious incident that occurred in Librazhd.

The investigation revealed that the citizen with the initials DK, 32 years old, resident of the village of Perondi, had attempted to forcefully take a 39-year-old woman into his vehicle, whom he had allegedly been stalking for about a year and a half.

During the incident, he also punched the citizen who was accompanying the 39-year-old woman and then left the scene.

He tried to forcefully take the 39-year-old woman he had been stalking for 1 and a half years into his vehicle, and the 32-year-old was caught and handcuffed. The arrested man also raped the citizen with whom the 39-year-old woman was traveling, and fled the scene. The 32-year-old was caught at the entrance to Elbasan, while driving while intoxicated. The vehicle and cell phone of this citizen were seized. Immediately after the notification that several citizens had clashed outside a gas station in Librazhd, the Police services went to the scene, in order to clarify the circumstances of the case and identify the citizens involved. From the investigative actions carried out within the framework of the coded operation "Insistimi", it resulted that citizen DK, 32 years old, resident of the village of Perondi, Kuçovë, had attempted to forcefully take, in a vehicle, a 39-year-old citizen, whom he had allegedly been stalking for 1 and a half years. Then, the 32-year-old had punched the citizen who was accompanying the 39-year-old, and had left.

As a result of rapid operational actions, the 32-year-old was caught and handcuffed at the entrance to the city of Elbasan. Further verifications revealed that he was driving the vehicle while intoxicated. The procedural materials were referred to the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office for further action.
