The grandmother of 3 minor children in Durrës, who shocked the entire public with their story, after being locked in their apartment, without their mother, has broken her silence and spoken to the media.

In a telephone call for the show "With an Open Heart" on News24 of moderator and author Evis Ahmeti, responded to the accusations of her ex-daughter-in-law, who said that everything was a trap by her ex-mother-in-law.

"I lived in Italy. I am 33 years old. (I) had a dog. I returned to Durrës. And I returned there. I went to meet my grandchildren. I thought the daughter-in-law would be there, washing and cleaning. I opened the door. And my second son opened it. When the door opened, I saw some cans. And I smelled a bad smell. I was shocked. I saw the children covered in blankets on the bed. The big boy said; mother is taking me to Italy. My chin was shaking. What I saw there, I had not even seen on TV. I went into the bathroom… what should I see? I asked him if he had any money; the big boy said I have 50 thousand lek. I gave him some money. I couldn't stay there. I left the house… I called the boy on the phone and he told me; the children are dying. Then I called the police. Then there was a reaction. We went into the house and they saw the situation. I went with the children to the police. The lady came there in the afternoon. She said; Sir, I have to work 16 hours because I can't take care of them. I found out about the illness because she called and said; the children are sick with scabies. The first time I went. Because I live in Italy. In the summer I had met them. It was her birthday and we all got together. Because I knew. She said that I would take care of the children. I told her to take them to Italy. I got on the bus and took her there, I took her by bus. Even though she was separated. She came to Albania for almost 5 months, and she didn't even know her home. In Italy I took care of them, she left and came. I took care of them. She abandoned them, that is. I made documents for the children in Italy. She said that she would take care of the children herself, because she had bought a bar and was a businesswoman. She received 1 million lek. The court gave custody to the children. Why did they get divorced? Don't you want some things to be made public. Who is that man who separates the children's mother? Because these are private matters. The divorce was by agreement. I didn't want to take the mother's three children from her breast, because I am a mother myself. We have helped her financially. I have given her everything. I still help her today. I have even dressed the children and the daughter-in-law. My son, when he was 18 years old, was sentenced at that time to 8 months in prison. He is fine, he works as an electrician," said the former mother-in-law.
