The funeral for Iran's late supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, will begin in Tehran on July 4 and end with his burial in the northeastern city of Mashhad on July 9, Iranian state media reported.
Khamenei was killed in Israeli and US airstrikes in Tehran in February. His death marked the end of more than three decades of his leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Meanwhile, Iran is currently led by his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, who has never appeared in public since being declared the new Supreme Leader.
