The heavy rainfall that has affected the Elbasan region has caused problems on several road axes and residential areas, temporarily making it difficult to circulate vehicles and manage the situation.
Near the Shkumbini Bridge, as a result of intense rainfall, the asphalt of the road has cracked, forcing authorities to temporarily block vehicle traffic in this area to guarantee the safety of drivers and passengers.
Meanwhile, problems have also been identified in the villages of the Shushicë Administrative Unit, where rainfall has created difficulties in the normal functioning of drainage channels. The situation is being monitored by the responsible structures, while the needs for interventions on the ground are being assessed, reports journalist Fatmir Popja.
All firefighting teams are on full alert, located on the ground and intervening where necessary, in coordination with civil emergency structures and local authorities.
Emergency services continue to monitor the situation, while citizens are asked to exercise increased caution when traveling, especially in areas where there is water on the roads, damage to infrastructure, or problems with drainage systems.
