A shocking incident has come to light in the United States, where a father has been arrested after allegedly killing his 4-year-old son and hiding his body in the family's backyard. Jacob Bevins, 36, faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and making false statements to authorities after investigations revealed that his son, Aiden Bevins, had been missing for more than a year.

The case began on May 12, when police were searching for the family's 6-year-old daughter. During the checks, authorities determined that the girl was safe with her mother, but noticed the absence of her 4-year-old brother. Initially, the father told investigators that the child was living with relatives in another state. The child's mother, who was in prison at the time of the disappearance, also stated that she believed the boy was in Idaho with family. However, after police contacted the relatives, they denied ever having seen the child.

On May 15, investigators discovered the 4-year-old's body stuffed in a garbage bag and buried in the yard of a house owned by the child's grandmother and his father. During questioning, the 36-year-old initially admitted that he had hit his son in the head, causing his death. He later changed his version, claiming that the child had accidentally fallen and died after hitting his head.

However, the forensic examination concluded that the victim's injuries were caused by a hard object, a fact that contradicts the suspect's recent claim. The investigation has also revealed previous concerns about the safety of the two children. Aiden and his sister had previously been in foster care, while the former foster parents stated that they had notified Child Protective Services several times about the problems and dangers that, in their opinion, threatened the well-being of the minors. Authorities continue their investigation to fully clarify the circumstances of the crime that has shocked the local community.
