Journalist Xhensila Kodra, invited to the show "This Week" on News24, has revealed shocking details from the serious incident that occurred today in Lozhan, Korça, where after a gunfight, a police officer was killed and another was injured.

Kodra revealed the full dynamics of how the State Police managed to track down the much-wanted 43-year-old Violand Braçellari, who had been hiding for a long time in a wooded and isolated area. According to the journalist, it all started just the day before, after an argument over money between the perpetrator and a person employed by him.

Kodra explained that Braçellari had built a hiding base in the Lozhani area, where he engaged in agricultural and livestock activities without falling on the authorities' radar.

"The author had started to create a stable or several stables with livestock in the Lozhani area and several greenhouses where he cultivated fruits and vegetables where he lived, in a wooded area. He lived there alone with his mother," said Kodra.

The starting point that led to the discovery of the whereabouts of the wanted man was precisely a shepherd, whom the 43-year-old had hired just two weeks earlier.

"A shepherd who had been employed by him for 15 days was the starting point that led to the identification of this area by the police. From an argument that started the day before, yesterday, as the shepherd had asked to leave his workplace for a few hours, from the 43-year-old's stables to meet his parents, he had also asked for a sum of money that he owed him. This is where the fierce debate between the two began," the journalist revealed.

After demanding money for his work, Violand Braçellari lost control and threatened his worker with his life.

"He threatened to kill him to leave after the debate and under the threat that he would not give him any money for the 15 days of work. Scared, the shepherd went to the Korça police and reported him, but without knowing that he was dealing with a person who was wanted by the police. Under these conditions, the police conducted their searches in the system and it turned out that it was precisely the wanted person, Braçellari," concluded Xhensila Kodra.

Following this information, the police organized the operation to arrest him, which unfortunately resulted in a bloodbath in Lozhan, marking the loss of life of an officer on duty and the injury of another.
