In a powerful emotional statement, Ilaria Sula's mother, Gëzime Sula, tearfully reveals the irreplaceable void that Ilaria has left: She was everything to me, she was ripped from my heart.

In a touching story for "With an Open Heart" by author and moderator Evis Ahmeti, she tells through tears and in an extremely emotional state that she has still not accepted the loss of her daughter, who was killed by her boyfriend Mark Samson, in a macabre act.

"Inside I'm completely dead, finished. I have many beautiful memories with Ilaria. She would surprise me when she came from Rome. There were many times when she wouldn't tell us when she was coming home. I've been waiting for a year for a message from Ilaria, for her to call me "o ma" once, for me to receive a morning or evening message like she always did. I really look forward to these moments from my daughter but I haven't been able to receive them for a year now.

She always invited me to go out and have a coffee together. We were like two sisters, like two friends, she was my life, she was everything to me.

I don't want to accept the loss of her, I still think and say, "May she come back to me." I gave everything for her, I gave my soul.

"I wish he would just lay his head on my chest once or kiss me on the forehead like I always did," she says through tears.
