Real Madrid are having a season with strong ups and downs, but on paper, although not the favourites, Arbeloa's team remains in the race for the La Liga and Champions League titles. Fortunately, at this point in the season, Vinicius jr has returned to his best, with the Brazilian having left behind that difficult period with Xabi Alonso on the bench:
"I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life", said Vinicius, adding:
"I am working every day with the staff and my teammates to maintain this level. I feel very confident in front of goal, also strong enough to help the team both in attack and defense.", emphasized Vinicius, then focusing on the challenge against Man.City in the 1/8 stage of the Champions League:
"In the last match, against Celta Vigo, I was a little tired after playing a lot of games this season. Against Man.City we have to show our best version. We have to have everyone's support, against Man.City this is vital", Vinicius Jr. said.
At the moment, Real Madrid sees itself -4 points behind Barcelona in La Liga, while on Wednesday it hosts Man.City at the "Bernabeu" in the first match valid for the 1/8 stage in the Champions League.
