A serious incident has shaken Maui, Hawaii, where a 63-year-old security guard was found dead at a beach resort, while a 20-year-old student and swimming champion has been arrested for the murder. According to authorities, security cameras filmed Legend Storer, who at around 01:45 a.m. is suspected of moving naked around the resort premises and then heading towards the security office. Inside the office was guard Dyer, 63, who was resting during his shift and eating a hamburger. Investigators suspect that Storer forced his way into the office and attacked him to death, using a large container of water with a capacity of about 19 liters.

"He was a wonderful person. He was just sitting at his desk eating a cheeseburger during his break," said a colleague of the victim. According to him, the 63-year-old was married, while his wife worked at a local restaurant.

After the attack, the 20-year-old allegedly fled the resort. About two hours later, police received calls from residents about a naked man wandering around a nearby neighborhood and repeatedly shouting religious phrases. One resident said he heard the man yelling, “Jesus loves you. Jesus is me. I am Jesus.”

Officers found Storer with scratches on his body and took him to the hospital for evaluation. A few hours later, at around 05:30 a.m., authorities found the guard's body in the security office. According to police, the 20-year-old's connection to the incident was discovered after reviewing security camera footage. Storer, a student and athlete at Concordia University Irvine, has been charged with second-degree murder, burglary with a dangerous object and indecent exposure. He pleaded not guilty at his initial court appearance. The court denied him bail and the 20-year-old remains in custody at the Maui Correctional Center.
