Brazil coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has compared the Brazilians' great desire to win the World Cup again with the obsession they had Real Madrid to win the tenth Champions League.

In an interview with SportWeek, the Italian coach stated: "Yes, this is something that is felt a lot here. It feels like I'm back in 2013, when I arrived at Real Madrid. There was an obsession to win 'La Décima', the tenth Champions League trophy, which had been missing since 2002 and which we managed to win in 2014."

Ancelotti admitted he was surprised by the love and support he has received from the Brazilian fans. “I didn’t expect so much love. I feel very appreciated and it gives me immense pleasure.” The Italian coach also said he has adapted more quickly than he thought to the role of national team coach. “That was also a surprise. I didn’t think I would feel so good working as a national team coach, without the daily rhythm I had at my previous clubs.”

Speaking about Brazilian football, Ancelotti highlighted the unique passion that exists in the country for the sport. “I have worked in many European countries where football is very loved, but here it is different. Nowhere else have I seen such a pure and sincere love for football. Even though the best players leave to play abroad, the passion of Brazilians remains unchanged.” Brazil has not won the World Cup since 2002 and Ancelotti's big goal is to bring the Selecao back a sixth world title, a dream that remains an absolute priority for Brazilian fans.
