A hearing is being held at the GJKKO against Leonard Duka and other defendants accused of the murder of Santiago Malko. Journalist Klodiana Lala reports that Leonard Duka's father is also present at the hearing.
He stated that he did not know Malko and as far as he knew, his sons did not have any conflicts with him.
"To my knowledge, I don't know if they had problems with Ervis Martinaj, I don't know him. Aleksandër Maxhaku is my nephew, my sister's son, we call him Leksi, Aleks depends. I haven't met him for many years, almost 6 years, I don't know where he is. I know Dritan Again, he's from our country, one of our great-granddaughters has a husband. We have him to some extent, he's not a stranger. I saw Dritan, my sons, as the boys who hang out. I saw Oltion Lokë, I know him from the neighborhood. He used to live in Shëngjergj. They called him Olti for short, I don't know who of the boys he hung out with. Fatmir Dogja, I heard him on TV. Ilir Selmani, I heard him on TV but I don't know him as a person. Blendi Teta, I don't know him, I heard him in the media," he said.
Leonard Duka's father has stated that he does not know his son's company.
"I was involved in trade with my business, Leonard had his own business, with gambling. I don't know who he collaborated with, I didn't interfere in the boys' affairs. I live with my wife, they lived alone with each other. They rented. I helped them when they were little, when they grew up and started their own lives. They were quiet, no one knocked on my door. I know that the boy paid taxes to the state, he was regular. I met him very rarely. I have heard of Ervis Martinaj, I neither know him nor have I ever seen him, I have heard of him in the media. I have also heard the name of Santiago Malko in the media," he said.
