A fierce debate took place between Socialist Party MP Taulant Balla and "Mundësia" Party MP Erald Kapri during discussions in the Assembly, where the parties exchanged strong accusations regarding the law on agricultural land and property issues.
Balla has accused Capri of false statements and political attacks, calling him a "paid liar" and asking him to present evidence for his accusations.
"Paid liar, you will be remembered as another MP's bag keeper. Shut your mouth. You came, made a mistake and were caught red-handed," declared Balla.
He defended the legal package on agriculture and agricultural land, saying that the changes are part of Albania's obligations to the European Union.
"If you say that this law was made to order, it's because we have also corrupted the EU. These laws are part of an important package for approximation with European standards," Balla said.
The socialist MP also leveled accusations against the opposition regarding property issues in Vlora, mentioning the name of Agron Shehaj and claiming involvement in property conflicts.
In response, MP Erald Kapri accused Balla of using family members as a tool of political pressure.
"We have never mentioned family members. Taulant Balla did it because he is blackmailing me by mentioning my family. Use everything to scare someone into thinking otherwise," said Kapri.
He challenged Balla on property issues in Vlora and accused the majority of avoiding responsibilities by reminding him of the land given by the government for a strategic investment to actor Burak Ozcivi, known as "Osmnai" to the Albanian public.
"You didn't have the courage to talk about "Osman" who took land in Vlora and about the families who are demanding their property rights. You have us in front of you and you will have us in front of you. You will see who will leave politics first," declared Kapri.
The debate continued in high tones, as the parties clashed over land law, properties in the Vlora area, and accusations of connections between political decision-making and private interests.
