Journalist Ervin Dushi has reported that he was raped yesterday evening at around 20:00 PM by several people in Shkodra. According to his statements, the perpetrator of the violence was citizen Prek Gjoni, along with several other people who were with him. Gjoni is known as the owner of the Xhedis supermarket chain.
Dushi claims that the incident is related to a complaint he made some time ago in support of a market employee, who had a dispute with the company owner.
After the incident, the journalist filed a report with the Shkodra Police and stated that he will pursue the matter through institutional channels. Yesterday during the live broadcast, Prek Gjoni, accused by Ervin Dushi, spoke out opposing the accusation against him. He even accused the journalist of being the person who instigated the violence.
Today, journalist Dushi has decided to narrate moments of violence on the show. "With an Open Heart" by moderator and author Evis Ahmeti.
"I had numerous injuries. Even last night I went to the hospital because I had concerns, severe headaches. There is an overpass at the forestry school in Shkodra. But there I saw the manager. I opened a live on TikTok and said that I was going live to get facts because I fear for my life. And I talked to people, with those who were because it's not like I'm famous. A little while ago I met a person who is a very good friend of mine and he called me, "Ishalla, you don't have Gledisin?" So there were a lot of bells and I was afraid for my life. I continued my journey with an open live, to where Gledisin's bar is located. I was on the sidewalk opposite. My phone rang. Then I said that I had to hang up because one of the market owners called me to have coffee. These people are good at raping you, but they don't want to leave you even to die," he said.
Also during the interview, he stated that he was brutally raped and that he managed to go to the police himself, where he later filed a complaint.
"I was beaten mercilessly, there was a fourth person. He only came back to help me. If it weren't for him, I would have been even worse. Then I went on foot to the police and filed a complaint. To my knowledge, I have no conflict with the owner," he said.
