In October last year, a clash was recorded in a court session between lawyer Ulian Bajrami and prosecutor Gjergji Ceka.
In an audio recording provided by journalist Klodiana Lala, the lawyer was heard claiming that the evidence against his client was false, while adding that he would personally deal with the prosecutor and file charges against him.
Judge Megi Strakosha is then heard, drawing attention to the intolerable language used in the courtroom, while warning the lawyer that if he continued with the same rhetoric, he would be dismissed and his client would be assigned a lawyer by default.
Meanwhile, it is learned that the case against the lawyer has been dismissed.
"The Tirana Prosecutor's Office requests the dismissal of the criminal proceeding case no. 7882, registered for the criminal offenses of 'Threat due to duty', 'opposing and striking a judge' and 'threat against a judge' against citizen Ulian Bajrami for the event registered on 17.10.2025 in Elbasan," the announcement distributed to the media states.
Excerpts from the audio recording:
Lawyer: The prosecutor's request for the imposition of a measure and assessment of arrest is based on several pieces of evidence, one of which shows that there is a false representation of data
I will personally deal with the prosecutor and the judicial police officers. I will file a report.
Prosecutor: He will be arrested.
Judge: Last time, threats don't work in the courtroom, it doesn't matter what you do outside this room, this kind of communication in the courtroom with me, judge, is not allowed, focus on the defense or I'll throw you out and assign you a lawyer. Last warning.
