The 98th consecutive protest by the opposition and civil society has begun in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, where activists and citizens have denounced the escalation of the economic crisis, rampant corruption, and the failure of institutions in the face of civil emergencies across the country.

During her speech from the protest platform, activist Sidorela Vatnikaj emphasized that throughout the 98 days of popular resistance, the motives to protest have only multiplied by the successive scandals of the executive branch.

"It's enough to see how Albania is all on fire, cities are burning, residents are being evacuated but no one is being held accountable. It's enough to see how crime threatens businesses. It's enough to see how Belinda Balluku, owner of 300 apartments, is free while protesters are raped, forcibly arrested and held in prison!" Vatnikaj declared to the crowd.

Further, the activist directly accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of trying to hide the reality of a country facing the capture of the state by crime and the economic oligarchy.

"Just look at how in 98 days of protest, this prime minister, who we have told that neither he nor his criminal model represents us, shamelessly comes to the Prime Minister's Office and tries to sell the situation as normal. In 98 days, the reasons for our protests have increased every day by this government of corruption, organized crime and economic oligarchy!" she said.
