Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has accused the Ministry of Defense of a lack of transparency regarding the activities of the company “Advanced Arms Technology” (AAT), in which KAYO is a 20% shareholder, demanding answers on the production and export of weapons. Këlliçi recalled that during the parliamentary interpellation on April 23, the Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, stated that AAT produces weapons and that they are currently used in conflict zones.

According to the Democratic MP, on April 28, 2026, he sent a request for information to the Ministry of Defense, but even though more than 60 days have passed, he has not yet received a response, despite the legal deadline of 15 days. Këlliçi requests that the minister clarify whether he confirms the statement made in the Assembly, how much armament and ammunition were produced by AAT, in which factory the weapons were produced, as well as when the first export was carried out and what was its destination.

In his reaction, the DP MP accuses the minister of a lack of transparency and calls on him to provide public answers on these issues. Këlliçi reminds Nufi that in cases where there are violations, the ones who are sacrificed are the soldiers and for this he recalls the case of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

"In the parliamentary interpellation of April 23, the Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, stated:

"Recently, we also have the company AAT, Advanced Arms Technology, which produces weapons and these weapons, as I said once again, are today in use in conflicts somewhere, not fictitious patents." So Minister Nufi informed the Parliament that the company of Edi Rama's friend, Ron Yeffet, "Advanced Arms Technology", in which KAYO is a 20% partner, has not only produced weapons, but that this weaponry has been exported and is currently used in conflict zones! For this reason, immediately after the statement, on April 28, 2026, I addressed a request for information to the Ministry of Defense.

The law on the right to information is clear: the public institution has the obligation to respond within the legal deadline of 15 days. More than 60 days have passed and to date, I have not received any response.

Therefore, today I am making public some of the questions that I am still waiting to receive answers from the Minister of Defense Ermal Nufi:

1. In the parliamentary interpellation you stated that: “Advanced Arms Technology which produces weapons and these weapons, as I said once again, are in use today in conflicts somewhere, not fictitious patents”. So you have informed the Members of the Albanian Parliament that the AAT company has produced weapons and ammunition and has even signed contracts with other countries, exporting them to places where there are conflicts TODAY? Do you confirm this statement given in the parliamentary session today?

2. What quantity of weapons and ammunition has been produced by this company?

3. In which factory were these weapons manufactured and where is it located?

4. When was the first export made and what was its destination?

Ermal, silence does not save you from legal responsibility!

"When you choose to serve Edi Rama's power to the detriment of the public interest, remember the old rule of politics that he who agrees to become the king's soldier to cover up his injustices, cannot reach the end of the game. In chess, the king is defended to the end, the soldiers are sacrificed without mercy. For more, ask Chief Bela," declares Këlliçi.
