35 years after the passing of the renowned painter, Nexhmedin Zajmi, his son Uvil Zajmi has gathered friends of the art lover, in the presentation of a monograph, which brings and documents the life and work of the painter. From his childhood to the teachers who discovered his talent, such as Odise Paskali, from the beginning of his lessons to his studies abroad, his return to his homeland and a career that extended in time and in works, the monograph is a kind of monument to the art he left behind.
The monograph includes paintings, photographs, and a study of the artist, without neglecting the approach of the artist's children, who bring out his other side, that of the father beyond the frames, brushes, and heroes.
Nexhmedin Zajmi's artistic creativity began in the 30s and ended in 1991, the year he passed away on May 19. Zajmi belongs to the first generation of painters who laid the foundations of Albanian art, while part of his career was dedicated to presenting and immortalizing portraits of traditional life, of mountainous areas and suburbs, also bringing the folk costumes of different areas.
