On November 28 in Garana, Kicevo, on National Flag Day, the statue of Skanderbeg was inaugurated, an eternal symbol of freedom, endurance and national pride.

The sculptor who created the monument, Fiqiri Kasa, in the studio of "News24 "Weekend" showed details from the project and the ceremony held yesterday.

"It was a magnificent event, there were Albanians from all regions present.
"As for the details of the monument, the base is made of Skrapar stone, while the monument is cast in bronze in Kosovo. Together with the base, the height reaches 6 meters, while everything is worked with detail. Some patriots who love the nation and history, in honor of the hero decided to erect this statue in Kicevo," he said.

The sculptor has confessed that there is a lack of Albanian monuments in North Macedonia, while the goal, according to him, is to show Macedonians that Albanians are indigenous and have a history.

Also present at the inauguration ceremony was Skanderbeg's great-grandson, Loris, who, according to the sculptor, was very excited that the figure of our National Hero is spreading throughout all Albanian-speaking regions.
