Professor of the Agricultural University in Tirana, Lush Susaj, invited to "Oponencje" stated that in the last 12 years the academic world became "dirty" by getting involved in corrupt affairs in exchange for silence.
Susaj said that he is a person who works after school and does not accept sponsorship for the books he publishes.
Speaking about the student protests, he said he was disappointed by the way they divided him, threatening him with dismissal.
Lush Susaj: Never in my life have I seen myself as I have seen the education system, that the teachers and pedagogues did not support the students even in 1991. While the biggest disappointment and part of why we are here is when I saw how they divided the student movement in 2018. The students were sitting with a pie in their hand and saying we can't go out because our parents are firing us.
This 12-year-old made the academic world dirty, gave someone a project and immersed them in corruption and shut them up, creating an elite that is not even about expertise.
