The intense rainfall and strong storms that have affected several areas of the country have caused problems in infrastructure, mainly in the supply of electricity, water and at some transport points.
According to the latest data from the authorities, there are currently 21 feeders out of work nationwide, while the most affected areas are Vlora, Fieri, Saranda and Librazhdi.
Technical teams continue to work to repair the defects and restore normal power supply.
In the early hours of the morning, the Livadhja Substation was restored to function, enabling the restoration of power to several areas.
Meanwhile, the situation in the Drin River basin appears calm, with no reported problems in the cascade.
In Saranda, the situation at the Wastewater Pumping Station (WWPS) has normalized, while the pumping station in Ksamil has also returned to normal operation.
The blocked roads near the Drinking Water Pumping Station have been reopened and work is continuing to remove fallen trees at the wastewater treatment plant (ITUN).
In Durrës, bad weather conditions caused temporary problems at the pumping stations in Fushë-Krujë and Çermë. At the Çermë pumping station, an electric pump failed, but the intervention of technical teams made it possible to repair it within a few hours and restore it to operation.
In Fier, the defect at the Kafaraj station was repaired around 02:00, restoring normal water supply to the city.
Meanwhile, the Varibop station continues to experience a power outage, leaving the city of Patos without water supply. Crews are working to restore power.
The storm also caused damage at the Port of Durres, where several empty containers were toppled at the Container Terminal. Eight of them suffered significant damage.
In other sectors of the Port of Durres, activity continues normally, while in the Port of Saranda the situation appears calm and the sea line with Corfu operates without problems.
