Inter are currently ahead of Como in the race for English defender Trevoh Chalobah. Contrary to reports in recent hours, Como have not submitted a €35m bid for the player. After Chelsea rejected their first two offers, the club have decided to withdraw from the negotiations and focus on other targets for the defensive department.

Inter have stepped in strongly. The Bianconeri have been working behind the scenes and have reached a preliminary agreement with Chalobah on personal terms. The Milan club is now holding talks with the player's representatives and Chelsea, with the aim of finding a final agreement.

However, the transfer is not yet considered closed. Although Chalobah has given his consent to move to Inter, directors Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have not yet made a decisive offer to Chelsea. The club is also considering other alternatives for the defender, seeking the best solution both technically and economically.

The coming days are expected to be crucial in understanding whether Inter will reach a final agreement with Chelsea and transfer the English defender to San Siro.
