Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa has delivered a message on International Youth Day, describing the youth who have been protesting for 74 days as "the true hope of Albania."

Zhupa says that young people are demanding accountability and rejecting a reality that forces their peers to leave the country, while listing corruption, injustice, lack of opportunities and the arrogance of power as concerns. Today, on International Youth Day, Albania has hope precisely from the young people who have not given up.

For 74 days, they have been protesting, demanding accountability and refusing to accept a place where their friends, comrades, cousins ​​and peers are forced to leave to build a better future.

Youth are rising up to take the country's destiny into their own hands: against corruption, injustice, lack of opportunities, the arrogance of power and a system that has closed its doors to them, against the treatment of the country as prey for the whims and desires of the prime minister.

These young people are not just protesting for today. They are protesting for the Albania they want to live in tomorrow.

And after 74 days, amidst fatigue, pressure and the indifference of the authorities, they continue to stand. This is the true hope of Albania: a youth that does not leave, but rises up. A youth that does not remain silent, but demands the right to decide for itself its future.
