The Democratic Party (DP) has publicly denounced today the construction of the resort in the Bay of Manastir. In a media statement, the spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Department of the Democratic Party (DP), Genta Vangjeli, stressed that the resort is being built in part of the Butrint National Park, while adding that it raises serious doubts about deliberate interference in the scientific archaeological process.

The construction of this resort forever transformed the Bay of Manastir, which separates the Ionian Sea from Lake Butrint, and in turn destroyed the archaeological potential of the area, including a 2010 discovery.
