Iran has issued a new warning regarding ship movement in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Iranian media, military spokesman Mohammad Akramian stated that ships coming from countries that implement US sanctions against Tehran will not be allowed to pass through the Strait, which is one of the most strategic maritime corridors in the world, through which a large part of the global oil and gas supply passes, so any escalation in this area is viewed with concern by international markets and major powers.
This warning comes at a time when the United States is awaiting Tehran's response to its diplomatic initiative to reduce tensions and stop fighting in the region.
