Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has responded to US President Donald Trump's statements regarding the election of a new leader.
The Iranian minister expressed his conviction that no one else is responsible for choosing the new leader except the Iranian people.
US President Donald Trump earlier suggested that the US wants to help choose Ali Khamenei's successor.
But speaking to NBC News, Araghchi stated that Iran "does not allow anyone to interfere in its internal affairs."
