Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared during a cabinet meeting that he would not put the latest US-brokered ceasefire agreement with Lebanon to a vote.

He stressed that this would not happen until Hezbollah accepted his conditions.

According to foreign media reports, the ministers criticized the fragile ceasefire, which Israeli and Lebanese delegations agreed to renew during a meeting in Washington on Wednesday, and demanded that it be put to a cabinet vote before Israel accepts its terms.

However, Netanyahu refused to call a vote, telling ministers that “at the moment, there is no deal” because Hezbollah has refused to accept his terms. “Hezbollah is against it, and that is why I am not making a decision,” he said.
