The anti-government protest has entered its 80th day today, with citizens continuing to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the removal of the government.
One of the protesters, who has lived in Italy for 33 years, said she came to Albania to join the protest and raise concerns about the economic situation of citizens.
She focused particularly on the situation of pensioners, citing the case of her sister, who, according to her, receives 110 thousand lek in pension per month and cannot even afford the costs of medicine.
"I have been living in Italy for 33 years and I came to protest. My sister has a pension of 110 thousand lek, she doesn't even have enough for medicine. She has gone to a place where she can no longer support herself," the citizen said.
She also said that citizens do not feel free to express their opinions and criticized the political situation in the country.
"No one here has the right to even speak. I don't know what else to say about Edi Rama," the protester declared.
