Anthony Joshua endured a tough test against Kristian Prengë, but his trainer, Iegor Golub, believes the experience was an important lesson for future challenges. Joshua was knocked down inside the first 20 seconds and was put under immense pressure in the first round, before coming back to finish the fight with a knockout in the second. Golub admitted that the moments after the knockdown were among the most difficult for him: “I looked at the clock and there were 2 minutes and 36 seconds left. It was probably the longest two and a half minutes of my life.” The trainer highlighted Joshua’s character:

"He pulled himself together, showed character and weathered the storm. A champion is not defined by mistakes, but by how he reacts to them." Referring to the potential challenge with Tyson Fury, Golub warned:

"In front of us is a 'very big fish' that does not forgive any mistakes. But Antony does not forgive any mistakes either." According to him, Joshua's power remains an extraordinary weapon: "The power in his hands is incredible and every day we work to make this weapon as sharp as possible."

With a possible showdown with Fury on the horizon, Joshua needs to show more concentration, as a single mistake could change everything./P.sport
