The National Food Authority (AKU) announced the disappearance of 130 tons of corn imported from Serbia and stored in the warehouses of the MODI SHPK company in Shkodra.

For three months, in seven separate shipments, the corn was initially blocked by the AKU for the presence of dangerous levels of aflatoxin, a toxic mold that can harm human and animal health.

However, after the blockade, 130 tons of corn "disappeared" from the company's warehouses.

According to company documents, the corn was intended for use in poultry and livestock, but traceability through invoices and tax records is non-existent, leaving the final destination of the products unclear.
