Prime Minister Edi Rama once again called January 21 a state crime, while emphasizing that Berisha proved that he really killed. Speaking at the memorial event for the 4 January 21 protesters, he emphasized that every year, on this date, he comes to the Prime Minister's Office building with sadness, while adding that justice has not yet been served.

"The incited chaos turned the protest into a chaotic mess between protesters and law enforcement, forcing us to return to headquarters. Despite the crowd's reaction, at no point did the protesters attempt to cross the Prime Minister's fence, except for one car that was filmed entering an open side door as an invitation to a trap."
No witnesses on the spot and subsequently no film material anywhere highlighted the presence of a single weapon among the protesters, but thousands of live ammunition were fired into the air to stop a crowd that became involved in physical conflict simply by trying to quell the protest before it even started.
"4 protesters were killed, several others were injured, the result of a criminal mind that would not miss an opportunity to show that it actually killed. The devil knows what the mind told those who ordered it and those who executed the order," he said.
