The son of famous singer Jennifer Lopez has attracted media attention during the graduation ceremony in Los Angeles, after being introduced by the name Oscar.
According to a post linked to Windward School in Los Angeles, the 18-year-old is listed as Oscar Jacob Muniz and reportedly uses male pronouns. It also says he will attend Sarah Lawrence College, majoring in theater and visual arts.
The graduation ceremony was attended by family and friends. Jennifer Lopez's mother, as well as Samuel Affleck, the son of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, also attended the event. Meanwhile, Oscar's twin brother, Max, was also present, while his father, Marc Anthony, was absent.
Jennifer Lopez has yet to make a public statement regarding this development. However, in the past, she has spoken more generally about the use of neutral pronouns during a public appearance in 2022, which has sparked discussion in the media.
Recently, the singer has also shared her emotions about the new phase of her children's lives, who are preparing to leave home. In a television interview, she expressed that she is experiencing an emotionally difficult period, saying that she has reflected and cried about the changes that are coming to family life.
