The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared that the majority's initiative for the Assembly to issue a joint statement to condemn the Hague's claim, which requested 45 years for each of the former KLA leaders, is a low point.
According to Berisha, this scheme is being used by Rama to protect himself from the issue of Balluk's mandate, a request that is also being made by the opposition.
"The use of former KLA leaders by an ordinary criminal as a shield is an ugly act. I have expressed my views regarding that process, but this shows how low these people are and what they are capable of doing to protect their thefts. If it were serious, this would not have been raised when opposition MPs were demanding Lubi Balluku's mandate. This was raised as a way to bypass the mandate issue," he said.
