The journalist of News24, Klodiana Lala, stated during the show "Studio 24", that the GJKKO judge, Irena Gjoka, was sentenced by the Court of Ioannina in 2005 to 3 months in prison, while SPAK has launched investigations into the judge.

Lala said that SPAK is awaiting the letter of request from Greece and that the moment the legal decision arrives at the Ministry of Justice, it will be implemented.

According to the journalist, Judge Irena Gjoka did not declare this criminal record during the Vetting process, Gjoka, when she filled out the decriminalization form.

Klodiana Lala: despite the fact that the General Prosecutor's Office does not make the result public, it is known that the sentence for Irena Gjoka was imposed in Ioannina in 2005, where it results that she was sentenced to 3 months in prison, which she did not pay, a 1500 euro fine and also 73 euros for court costs related to the use of a forged visa.

In 2016, as part of the Vetting process, Ms. Gjoka was a judge in the Serious Crimes Division and filled out the form. In the decriminalization form, where even high judges were asked questions about whether they had been detained by the Albanian authorities, etc., if they had a criminal record, she claimed that she had not had any problems with the law. The first accusations were made by Fredi Beleri at the time when he was accused of vote buying in the Himara elections.

He raised the first suspicions that Irena Gjoka had been convicted in Greece, while the judge denied it.

The Special Prosecution Office has opened investigations into Gjoka.
