Inter's number one bench player, Christian Chivu, appeared in a press conference before the superchallenge against Juventus.

"Italian football and we all need to improve in many things, but not in the refereeing plan. Of course they, like all of us, can do better. The problem is not the referees. If Italy hasn't been to the World Cup for 11 years, is it the referees' fault?

We always talk about the same things, even after the introduction of VAR there are complaints. When will I see a coach say that the referee favored me…”.

Then, regarding the "fear" of referees being conditioned by a club's protests, Chivu added: "I'm not afraid of anything, I don't see ghosts. They chose me as coach to find solutions, not to complain."

And further comment on the "Derby of Italy": "Juventus has improved a lot with coach Spalletti, he has given them an identity in a short time. This is a match where you find greater motivation, an important match not only in Italy. The real challenge is to find motivation even against inferior teams on paper. We must be ready as always, even accepting that we cannot always dominate the game."

The Romanian coach also made a joke about the fact that Spalletti does not speak at the press conference: "I asked for Lautaro to come here. I agree with him, speaking every three days is not easy."

Is the challenge with Juventus decisive for the title? "There are still 14 games, at this moment a result does not make much difference, but it matters in terms of morale. The championship is still long," he said.
