The Central Election Commission in Kosovo has announced the final results of the elections held on June 7, paving the way for official certification and the start of the process for the formation of new institutions.
The results were made public on Saturday at a CEC meeting in Pristina, while certification is expected to take place on Monday, after the end of the 48-hour deadline for complaints, according to CEC Chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi.
According to the results, the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV), led by incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, won 47.13% of the vote, securing 53 seats in the Kosovo Assembly.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) received 19.44% of the votes and 22 seats, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) 16.69% and 18 seats, while the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) 6.74% and 7 seats.
After the certification of the results, the constitution of the new Parliament is expected to begin and then the formation of the new Government, marking the end of a long period of political uncertainty in the country.
