Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has announced that explosive charges and powerful detonators have been discovered near the gas pipeline to Hungary.
The incident took place in Vojvodina, near the TurkStream pipeline, a key route for Russian gas supplies to the region.
Vučić has discussed the situation with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who has convened a special defense council. The situation comes ahead of parliamentary elections in Hungary on April 12, where Orbán could lose power for the first time after 16 years in office.
