Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that attempts by foreign forces to restore the conditions that existed in Iran before the Islamic Revolution have failed.

Khamenei said this in a televised speech on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

"Foreign forces have always tried to restore the conditions that existed in Iran before the Islamic Revolution, but have not been able to achieve this," Khamenei noted.

He also said that every year on the anniversary of the revolution – February 11 – nationwide marches are held in the country, calling them “unprecedented in the world” and “a clear manifestation of national resistance.”
