The leader of the Alliance in Kosovo, Ardian Gjini, has welcomed the decision of the Democratic League of Kosovo not to be included in the government led by Albin Kurti.
LDK has declared that it is giving up its demands for the post of President, participation in the government, and leadership of the Assembly, leaving Vetëvendosje with responsibility for creating institutions.
Through a reaction on social media, Gjini described the LDK's stance as "fair and principled", while accusing Kurti and Vetëvendosje of pursuing a strategy to take control of institutions.
According to him, Kosovo should not be led by a single individual, while he also lists some of the priorities that, according to the Alliance, should be part of the program of every future government.
Ardian Gjini's full reaction:
The Alliance has long been strongly highlighting the unfair play of Kurti and his party.
Therefore, today's stance of the Democratic League of Kosovo to not participate in the government with Kurti is right and principled, and as such I welcome it.
He aims to have complete control over all institutions and the entire state, which he is degrading every day.
The alliance remains clear.
Kosovo must not be controlled by one person, and any future government must accept:
1. American gas
2. To build energy capacities
3. Complete the main infrastructure
4. Raise the VAT threshold for small businesses
5. Exempt farmers from property tax
6. Invest in the capital.
