During the last 24 hours, seven cases of domestic violence have been reported in several cities in Kosovo, where in most cases the victims are women, according to police data.

The cases have been registered in Pristina, Fushë Kosovë, Gllogoc, Klina, Deçan and Mitrovica South, while the authorities have initiated investigative procedures for each case separately.

Two separate incidents have been reported in Pristina. In one case, following a dispute, a Kosovar man is suspected of physically assaulting a Kosovar woman. After questioning, the parties were released by the prosecutor's decision, while the case continues in regular proceedings.

In another case in the capital, a man is suspected of physically assaulting two men. The victims have been questioned, while the suspect is being sought by police.

In Fushë-Kosovo, a case of a dispute between two people, a female and a male Kosovar, has been handled by the authorities, who have decided to proceed with the regular procedure after consulting with the prosecutor.

In Gllogoc, a Kosovar man is suspected of having physically assaulted another man, and the case is being further investigated by the competent authorities.

In Klina, psychological violence against a woman was reported, while in Deçan, a person was arrested on suspicion of psychological violence against a female victim. He was taken into custody by decision of the prosecutor.

Meanwhile, in Mitrovica South, a foreign national reported that she was physically and psychologically abused by two people, a man and a woman. The victim received medical treatment, while the suspects were released in due course after questioning.

Authorities have announced that all cases are being handled in cooperation with the prosecution and investigations are continuing.
