The Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Serious Crimes in Kosovo has issued an official response regarding a threat of physical elimination against the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

The police emphasize that they have undertaken intensive investigative actions and that the post was made from the territory of the Republic of Serbia, specifically from the city of Kraljevo.

"The Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Serious Crimes, on May 08, 2026, has received for processing information regarding a threat addressed to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, on social networks from the profile called "Severna Brigada", also known as the "Northern Brigade" (an organization that has been declared a terrorist organization by the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo).

In coordination with the Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK), intensive investigative actions were immediately undertaken, with the support of the Directorate for the Investigation of Cybercrimes.

From the investigations carried out, it was determined that the threat was published through the account facebook.com/severna.brigada.2025.

Based on the data provided, the posting was made from the territory of the Republic of Serbia, specifically from the city of Kraljevo in the Republic of Serbia. In this case, the IP address used and the personal data used during registration were identified.

"From the analyses conducted by the competent units, additional data have been identified that can assist in further intensive investigation by the Kosovo Police and the SPRK," the police statement said.
