The Kuwaiti army has announced that it has detected and destroyed several unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) that had entered the country's airspace since the early hours of this morning.

According to an official statement, Kuwaiti authorities have described the incident as an attack carried out by Iran, which targeted several vital facilities. The military announced that several government facilities in northern Kuwait, as well as a property owned by a company on Bubiyan Island, were affected by the attack.

The debris from the downed drones caused material damage, but authorities said there were no reports of injuries. Kuwait has raised its airspace security alert level and is continuing to assess the situation following the incident. The incident comes at a time of heightened tensions in the Gulf region, where energy facilities and strategic infrastructure are at the center of international concern.
