The Italian police have expanded their fleet with an unusual vehicle for a police force: the Lamborghini Temerario, with a power of 920 horsepower.
Despite its exceptional performance, the car will not be used for high-speed pursuit on highways. It will have another, much more important mission: **the urgent transport of organs for transplantation and medical supplies.
The new vehicle was presented at Lamborghini's premises, in a ceremony attended by Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, as well as company executives.
The collaboration between Lamborghini and the Italian Police is not new. It dates back to 2004, when a Lamborghini Gallardo was put into service. Since then, the brand's vehicles have been used in cases of emergency organ transport, where time is of the essence for patients awaiting transplants.
The new Temerario, thanks to its power and technical characteristics, is adapted for this specific purpose. For the Italian Police, the supercar is not just a luxury vehicle, but a vehicle that can significantly shorten transport times in critical situations.
